60mm PIR Insulation Board - 2400mm x 1200mm (2.88m²)

SKU: 118378
£17.50 - £19.44  + VAT
60mm PIR (polyisocyanurate) insulation board in 2400×1200mm format, designed to deliver high thermal performance in a slim build-up. Suitable for common applications such as cavity walls (partial or full fill), pitched and flat roofs, floors, and internal lining systems (where appropriate to the range). Use the application guide below to compare branded and unbranded equivalents at the same thickness and board size, then check key performance values such as lambda (W/mK), compressive stress (kPa) and calculated R value.

Product Description

PIR (polyisocyanurate) insulation boards offer high thermal performance in a slim profile, but different ranges are optimised for different parts of the building envelope. Start by selecting the application (wall, roof, floor, or internal lining), then compare like-for-like products using the key characteristics below.

How do I choose a PIR board?

The guide below explains the key facets that usually matter when choosing a PIR board. Compare products at the same thickness and size first, then check performance and certification details.

1) Application (where it’s used)
Typical values: cavity wall (partial/full fill), pitched roof, flat roof, floor, internal lining.
Why it matters: determines facings, detailing, and the correct compliance evidence for the build-up.
2) Thickness & board size
Typical values: 60mm in 2400×1200mm boards.
Why it matters: thickness drives thermal resistance; board size affects handling, joints and coverage.
3) Thermal conductivity (λ)
Typical values: 0.021–0.027 W/mK.
Why it matters: lower λ means more insulation per mm, which helps you hit U-value targets.
4) Compressive stress
Typical values: 120–150 kPa.
Why it matters: key for floors and roofs where loads are transferred through the insulation.
5) R value (thermal resistance)
Typical values: 2.22–2.86 m²K/W.
Why it matters: higher R improves overall build-up performance; combine with other layers to meet U-values.
6) Certification & reaction to fire
Typical values: varies by range (DoP, BBA, EN standards, Euroclass rating).
Why it matters: supports specification, compliance, and assurance in regulated build-ups.
